The Independent Trade Union of Workers in Secondary Education of Croatia is a voluntary, interest-holding, professional organization of employees in secondary schools and student dormitories in Croatia. The organization is present in all counties of the Republic of Croatia with 359 branches, and it is the largest trade union within the system of secondary schools and dormitories in Croatia. It was founded in 1990 and joined Matica in 2007. The president of the trade union is Mr Branimir Mihalinec, and the vice president is Branka Pavoković.

The Independent Union of Research and Higher Education Employees of Croatia was founded in 1990 in Zagreb as the first democratic trade union in Croatia. The IURHEEC is one of the founders of Matica – Association of Croatian Trade Unions. It is actively committed to the improvement of working conditions in the education and scientific/research system of the Republic of Croatia, as well as to increasing its efficiency and productivity. The IURHEEC is comprised of numerous members who are eminent scientists and experts from various areas of research and higher education in the Republic of Croatia. The president of the trade union is Prof. Igor Radeka, D.Sc., and the president of the Great Council is Mr Vilim Ribić.

The Croatian Trade Union of Nurses and Medical Technicians was founded in 1991 in Zagreb and is one of the founders of Matica – Association of Croatian Trade Unions. The trade union is committed to improving the general conditions of life and work of nurses and medical technicians, and to protecting their professional rights and the obligations of the profession. The president of the trade union is Ms Vlasta Vukovic Hoić, and the president of the General Council is Ms Anica Prašnjak.

The Independent Trade Union of Library Workers of Croatia was founded in 1991 in Zagreb and is one of the founders of Matica – Association of Croatian Trade Unions. It is an independent, autonomous and non-partisan association of library workers on the territory of Croatia which promotes workers’ rights, the culture of reading and continuous education. It operates at the local level and currently has 9 branches (Zagreb, Varaždin, Čakovec, Bjelovar, Vinkovci, Vukovar, Županja, Gospić, Split). The president of the trade union is Ms Đurđica Pugelnik, and the vice president is Ms Sanja Mikačić.

The Trade Union of Workers of EX Dubrovačka Banka was established to promote and protect the rights and interests of the workers of the former Dubrovačka Banka who are now employed at OTP Banka d.d. It was founded in 2004 with its headquarters in Dubrovnik and operates through six union branches. It joined Matica – Association of Croatian Trade Unions in 2008. The president of the trade union is Mr Boris Ćirić-Bagarić, and the trade union representative to the Workers’ Council is Mr Stanko Udženija.
